In the early 2000s, several universities were conducting research & offering courses on coaching within the family sciences field. By 2012, a small group of our founding members, consisting of family science professors and practitioners, began the process of assessing various aspects of coach training programs and those who practiced family or parent coaching. Through this experience, Family Life Coaching Association was “born” in October 2015 and we have continued working on this topic in an effort to present it to the broader professional field – YOU!
Family Life Coaching Association has grown exponentially since then and we are now comprised of volunteers that come from all professional backgrounds. We are educators, family life coaches, homemakers, college students, and corporate professionals with a mutual vision.
We dream of a world where all families can receive the support they need to live happy and healthy lives through the field of family life coaching.
We work collaboratively to make this vision a reality through many different ways such as providing research, advocacy, credentialing, and standards for our field.
We welcome YOU to be a part of these efforts:
